“I got something that’s cooler,” Finn Balor reveals why he avoided bringing The Demon persona at WrestleMania 34
Finn Balor was keen on raising his voice over a sensitive matter in front of the whole universe in 2018. As a result, he entered WrestleMania with a purpose.

Finn Balor is a true gentleman, and he proved exactly why he’s like that at WrestleMania, back in 2018. In what was going to be his first WrestleMania ever, fans urged Balor to reignite that Demon inside himself. So, everyone wanted him to make a bone-chilling entrance inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome. However, that never came to fruition, as the Irishman had some other plans.
He instead came out with an army of the LGBTQ community. In an effort to change people’s minds in the right direction and make everyone aware of this movement, Balor wore themed merch. He beautifully promoted the category of this special class, effectively conveying his message to the world. This is what The Prince wanted to do instead of waking The Demon for one night. At the marquee event, he lost to Seth Rollins and The Miz in an awe-inspiring triple-threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.
In a recent interview with BT Sport, The Judgment Day leader spitted it out. Even though he had this idea, the inaugural Universal Champion still needed the approval to make that happen. So, three weeks prior to Mania, Balor approached Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who, upon listening, the same immediately passed it.
“A lot of people were kinda like, you gotta definitely do The Demon at WrestleMania. It’s your first WrestleMania; you got to do that entrance. I remember thinking, I think I got something that’s cooler, like that’s more important. I’d like to use my platform as a voice for change. And then it was about three weeks before Mania, and I brought it to Hunter and Stephanie, and they jumped on it straightaway and said 100% you can do that.”

What are the long-term plans for Finn Balor in WWE?
![Finn Balor defeated Edge in an "I Quit" match at Extreme Rules last year](https://firstsportz.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/IMG_COM_20230118_2327_09_2562-1024x768.jpg)
Since Triple H took over WWE creative, he has completely revitalized Finn Balor. Some reports claimed that Hunter viewed the former NXT Champion as a reclamation project. To a large extent, it has been accomplished. However, this doesn’t mean that’s all. After witnessing a significant stock rise, Finn Balor needs to just keep going.
There are some swirling rumors about Edge possibly returning to close the chapter with Balor and his Judgment Day once and for all. The Rated-R Superstar is likely to be back by the Rumble. Then, they may rekindle their personal rivalry and book a date for themselves at WrestleMania.
Remember, last year at Mania, the birth of Judgment Day took place. And it would be a full circle moment if the saga ends at this very stage itself. Also, Edge was the one who decided to start assembling a group of young individuals. Now, he may end this. The story writes for itself and fans would be thrilled to see a final encounter between Balor and Edge at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
