“She needs to step to my level”: Former Champion issues warning to Ronda Rousey

Lynch and Rousey

Ronda Rousey is one of the most dominant Superstars in all of the sports entertainment industry. She made a thunderous return to WWE earlier this year at the 2022 Royal Rumble. She went on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match and started dominating the roster since the day she returned.

The winner of the Royal Rumble match earns the opportunity to go after the Championship of their choosing, at Wrestlemania. Back then, Charlotte Flair held the Smackdown Women’s Championship and Becky Lynch held the Raw Women’s Championship. While initially it seemed liked Rousey will be going after Big Time Becks, she took a swerve and challenged The Queen.

The feud has been on between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair since Royal Rumble now and is still far from over. They first battled in a Tag Team match – where Rousey and Naomi picked up the win over Flair and Sonya Deville. Next they collided at Wrestlemania 38, where Flair managed to pick up the victory. They will now be colliding in an I Quit match at Wrestlemania Backlash.

While Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair are dominating the Smackdown brand, Becky Lynch is recently kickstarted a feud against Asuka. There is no doubt that WWE will definitely be planning a match for Big Time Becks and the Baddest Woman on the Planet somewhere down the line. In a recent interview with SecondsOut’s Lissy Almeida Lynch opened up about a possible match with Rousey.

“We’re in a different position than we were in 2019. I don’t need to step up to her anymore. She needs to step up to my level. So come on, just bring it, Ronnie,” mentioned Big Time Becks.

Big Time Becks and Ronda Rousey share immense history together. In fact, before Ronda Rousey went on a hiatus from WWE, her last match was against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair – in the main event of Wrestlemania 35. They were having a blockbuster feud as well – but that couldn’t lead to match as Lynch was ruled out due to concussion issues.

Around the Wrestlemania 38 week, Big Time Becks gave an interview to the New York Post where she revealed that them facing each other at Wrestlemania 39 is a perfect decision. “I think the idea was, let’s give it even more of a build and possibly do this in Hollywood of all places. I think the idea was to give it a little bit of extra time, and hell, let fricking Ronda get her feet wet,” mentioned Big Time Becks.
