WWE will air Friday Night SmackDown from Nationwide Arena in Columbus Ohio on 10th November 2023 from 7:45 PM. WWE tends to advertise its list of featured superstars for every show. In the same current, they’ve advertised the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles. As a result, they’ve spoiled his return which could’ve made a big impact.

Additionally, the list contains the names of other big stars. One can find names like Charlotte Flair, Austin Theory, Rey Mysterio, and Bobby Lashley. It also features LA Knight as their Cover Star.

The last time fans saw AJ Styles was on the September 23rd episode. Styles came to aid another legend, John Cena. They were to be a part of a tag team match against the Bloodline. However, the tides turned as he got ambushed in a vicious assault backstage by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Styles was taken out and has been absent since then from the television screens.

It seems the Phenomenal One is going to be back to shake things up a bit. It would be enriching for the fans as they would once again get to see one of the top babyfaces of the Company. Fans can’t wait to find out whether the Phenomenal One will go after the Bloodline alone, or will he get some backup from the OC?

Why was AJ Styles absent from WWE?

The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles has been one of the top stars on Friday Night SmackDown. He was recently seen with the Greatest of All Time, John Cena. They were going loggerheads with one of the most dominant factions in the history of WWE, the Bloodline. It was during the September 23rd episode that Solo Sikoa took out Styles with a diving splash from a significant height.

As news of Styles’s return floats around, fans couldn’t help but wonder about the reason behind his absence. According to Steve Carrier of Ringside News, Styles’ injury was not from the attack. He was simply selling it. This allowed the Creative to pair the Greatest of All Time with the Megastar for a match at WWE Fastlane 2023.

The reason why Styles teamed with Cena has also been the ongoing tensions in the OC. Karl Anderson was unhappy in the absence of Luke Gallows. It multiplied when Styles took ‘Michin’ Mia Yim along with him to feud with the Bloodline. It would be interesting how Styles will figure out all these dynamics around him.
