Former WWE Superstar says he willingly decided to elevate the degree of VIOLENCE in a match against Brock Lesnar

Since making his wrestling debut in the WWE, Brock Lesnar has demonstrated his supremacy and he has also done so in the UFC, having won the UFC Heavyweight Championship once in his career. Brock Lesnar quickly became the top guy in the WWE after his debut and won the WWE Championship after beating the then face of the WWE Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

The Beast incarnate still holds the record for the youngest WWE Champion in the history of WWE. Brock Lesnar is still one of the WWE’s biggest names and the company relies on him for a full house show and ratings.

This year, Brock Lesnar hasn’t done much in the WWE but has achieved a major feat, which is winning his first ever Elimination Chamber match at the Live event and winning the WWE Championship match for the 7th time in his career.

Although he won his first ever Chamber match, he lost his first ever Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam against Roman Reigns, which was probably the end of his rivalry with Reigns. In his career, Brock Lesnar has engaged in several rivalries, some of which were publicized and compelling while others, like the one with Hulk Hogan, were brief.

Brock Lesnar has been a baby face as well as a heel throughout his career, with his work as a heel being more appreciated by the fans. When Brock Lesnar was a heel in 2003, the WWE wanted to give it a boost. To do this, they had to create a character that the audience would sympathize with and allow Lesnar to show off his cold-blooded nature. Zach Gowen, a wrestler with one leg, was chosen by the WWE to serve as Brock Lesnar’s scapegoat as he beat him cruelly.

Gowen, the first one-legged wrestler in WWE history, was brutally attacked by Lesnar in 2003. Gowen faced Lesnar in a singles match on an edition of SmackDown in August 2003. The setup for Brock Lesnar’s heel turn was ideal, since Gowen’s mother was present at ringside while Brock Lesnar savagely beat her son with a steel chair, two powerbombs, and a devastating F-5 to the pole. The fight had to be interrupted in the middle because Gowen’s face was covered in blood. Brock Lesnar was very ruthless, mauling Gowen like a tiger.

Recently, during an appearance on Rewind Recap Relive – Wrestling Interviews, Gowen shared about his encounter with the beast incarnate, He stated that he had faith in Lesnar with his body. Gowen said that he had received so much backlash from the locker room that if Lesnar actually attacked him, he would face no consequences. Gowen mentioned that he wanted to develop something unique and increase the brutality since he enjoyed big guys vs. small guys bouts.

“I trusted him with my body, you know, to take care of me and at the time I had so much heat in the locker room that if he legitimately hurt me, he would’ve suffered zero ramifications…. and I wanted to create something special and I wanted to create a moment and I wanted to amp up the level of violence because I always liked those big guys vs. little guy matches. I liked the uniqueness,”

Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE is not known as of now but there are reports that he would be fighting in a match at Crown Jewel, with his opponent being Bobby Lashley. Lesnar is advertised for the Day 1 event next year, so he would be present at the event most probably.
