36-year-old Champion calls Brock Lesnar his END BOSS whom he needs to conquer to validate himself

Brock Lesnar is an esteemed superstar in the realm of pro wrestling and is the epitome of a world-class athlete. Many superstars dream to wrestle the Beast Incarnate to carve their legacy. One such superstar is currently Intercontinental Champion Gunther. He expressed his desire to wrestle Brock Lesnar to validate himself.
While speaking with Phil Strum on Under the Ring podcast, Gunther was asked about the possibility of a match with Brock Lesnar. The Ring General said that he has the utmost respect for the former WWE Champion. Reflecting on Lesnar’s illustrious career, Gunther said that he sees him as his personal “end boss.”
The Imperium leader stated that Brock Lesnar is someone that he needs to beat in order to know he can hang out with the top guys of the company. The 36-year-old also added that being in the ring with him is really unpredictable. According to him, many wrestlers never know what’s going to happen when they’re in the ring with the Beast Incarnate.

Gunther and Brock Lesnar had an intense face-off at the Royal Rumble 2023. However, they never crossed paths on the main roster. For now, the Ring General is going to defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz at the Survivor Series. It will be interesting to see whether Lesnar and Gunther ever cross paths.
Gunther reveals the reason to include the world ‘Heavyweight’ in Intercontinental title
Many fans have often wondered why Gunther always says Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion instead of just Intercontinental Champion. While speaking in a recent podcast, The Ring General revealed the actual reason behind it. According to him, it adds more significance and legitimacy to the title.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his podcast, Gunther basically explained why he always says Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion. He revealed that the word “Heavyweight” was always written on the title, but he noticed it late. When he did, he started mentioning the word for his title. He further added that it adds more significance and people always give importance to heavyweight title matches regardless of the sport.
Obviously, it helps because I feel like we all grew up with the most popular boxing matches being heavyweight. So, when you add that to the title, it just helps to make it even more significant.Gunther
The Ring General surely has made the title more prestigious in his historic reign. He revived the lost glory of the coveted title. It looks like he is not letting go of the title anytime soon. It will be interesting to see who will dethrone Gunther and end his legendary reign.
