The Intercontinental Champion Gunther didn’t like the way Sami Zayn presented himself during the contract signing. He heavily insulted Zayn for his fashion sense and compared it to the North Carolina crowd.

Zayn earned the opportunity to fight for the Intercontinental title against Gunther at WrestleMania. In order to do this he defeated five other superstars in a Gauntlet match. As such, they met for a contract signing on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. However, The Ring General soon turned up the heat by throwing insult after insult at the former I.C. champion.

Gunther berated the Canadian for not giving importance to the prestigious contract signing. He questioned Zayn for coming to the contract signing without wearing proper attire. The Ring General displayed arrogance as he said the 39-year-old doesn’t have what it takes to defeat him.

Sami Zayn fired back with a passionate promo, as he reminded Gunther that he was the one who broke Usos’ streak at WrestleMania. Another wrestler who was a favorite to fight the Austrian, Chad Gable, warned him that he couldn’t defeat the 36-year-old with this attitude. With his confidence being this low, it will be interesting to see whether Zayn dethrones him or not. 

Gunther expressed his honest opinion on Triple H’s regime in WWE

When Vince McMahon initially resigned from the position as chairman in July 2022, his son-in-law, Triple H, took command. Many fans, WWE superstars, and employees have noticed a sudden change in the environment within the company. In light of that, Gunther has revealed the changes they felt under Hunter’s regime.

The 36-year-old star gave an interview on The Independent and described Hunter’s new reign as a breath of fresh air. He felt that this year’s WrestleMania has the potential to be one of the greatest. Gunther further added that they have a balance of engaging storylines and amazing matches. 

It was wanted, maybe needed, and I think that's paying off now. We have a lot of very interesting storylines going on, fresh characters people are getting into. There's something for everybody.
