“Definitely,” Gunther expressed his desire to face Brock Lesnar in a first-time-ever match

Since being added to the main roster of WWE, The Ring General Gunther has been involved in a lot of hard-hitting action. Gunther came to WWE SmackDown from NXT and defeated Ricochet to become the reigning Intercontinental Champion. Recently, he defeated Braun Strowman to continue his run for over 200 days now.
Fans have started to make up dream matchups for WWE WrestleMania 39. They are expecting this year’s WrestleMania to be one of the most exciting ones. While WWE has not yet revealed any matches for WrestleMania, one match that can be a head-to-head fight is Gunther facing The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.
In an interview with Battleground Podcast, Gunther showed his eagerness to face Brock Lesnar. He also said that before starting his wrestling career, he used to look up to Brock Lesnar as one of the greats in this business. His exact words were:
“Oh yeah. I mean definitely. That’s like to get the opportunity to prove myself and that’s the narrative it would be fantastic. And, yeah, I always, when I started out as a wrestler and I got back into watching wrestling again I always watched Brock’s matches because they’ve been fantastic. It was a standout right away. It’s nobody like him. I always like those characters.”
Brock Lesnar has been out of action since he faced Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel. But no one knows when the Beast can show up and surprise everyone. On the other side, Gunther is focused on his title reign and has fixed his eyes on Royal Rumble later this month. If fans get to see this matchup at WrestleMania, then it will be a match to remember and appreciate.

Is Lesnar vs Lashley going to happen at WrestleMania?
As of now, two possibilities can be seen as worthy opponents for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39. One of them can be Brock Lesnar facing the current intercontinental champion, Gunther. Rumors are that The Beast will challenge Gunther for his title. But the second possibility is Brock Lesnar facing Bobby Lashley.
Brock Lesnar doesn’t have a good relationship with The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley, in the recent past. They faced each other in a singles match for the first time at Royal Rumble 2022. Their second match was at Crown Jewel. It became a match to remember despite being a non-title match.
At Crown Jewel, Bobby Lashley completely dominated the match before even the bell rung. But while everyone thought that Bobby Lashley would win the match, that’s where Brock Lesnar turned the match. He pinned Bobby Lashley, which many fans think was a fluke. The end was not so great, so fans want to see this rivalry once again and have a final match. WWE may make a possible match involving both Lesnar and Lashley at the Hollywood event, WrestleMania, in April 2023. WWE Universe has to wait to see the story unfold.
