Former ECW Champion Rob Van Dam is popular among wrestling fans for being a frequent user of marijuana. However, this has never interfered with his work ethic, and RVD has never missed his schedule because of drugs. Therefore, everyone in the industry recognized Van Dam as a professional. In addition, he is also kind-hearted and soft-spoken, as he maintains good relations with everyone across promotions. This was also confirmed by WWE Hall of Famer and former GM Teddy Long.

During his recent interview, when asked about his relationship with RVD, Long said that he has a lot of respect for Van Dam because of his nature. He also revealed that the two used to travel together between shows for some time, many years ago. This is when RVD and Long used to get high almost every day, according to the 75-year-old.

However, as mentioned earlier, RVD never let his use of drugs interfere with his work, and therefore, he is a well-received name in WWE as well as other promotions like AEW, Impact, and others. Rob Van Dam claimed his fame for high-flying skills in the 1990s in ECW. He became the biggest star of the company, winning their World Championship multiple times.

When he came over to WWE, he was treated the same way. He won the World Championship and was treated as a main event star for years. Fans supported RVD for many years before he left WWE to explore other options, including a run in TNA, now known as Impact Wrestling. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2021.

The former ECW Champion does not plan on slowing down anytime soon, even after being in the industry for over three decades. Recently, RVD shocked fans when he made a shocking appearance on AEW programming for the first time. Van Dam came down to the ring to help his ECW friend, Jerry Lynn, fight against Jack Perry.

It was later announced that RVD will take on Perry for the FTW Championship, which was started by Tazz, who is also an ECW alumni. On the latest episode of Dynamite, Perry and Van Dam faced each other. The champion was able to get the victory as he cheated to win and retain his championship. However, RVD’s performance is getting a lot of praise, as he still has not lost a step even at the age of 52.

AEW is set to host All In at Wembley Stadium in London at the end of this month. They have sold over 80,000 tickets for the show, and therefore, fans will have to see if the WWE Hall of Famer is featured on the show or not. Watching RVD is a treat for fans, and AEW might use that for their biggest show yet.
