The WWE Hall of Fame is a night of celebration that has become a tradition during WrestleMania week. Through the years, it has honoured the lives and careers of pro wrestling legends. However, some are still left off of this coveted list. Hornswoggle is one such name that never gets a mention in the Hall of Fame. Despite the fact that he was a goofy and silly TV character, some fans believe he should be inducted.  

Hornswoggle had a brief run with D-Generation X in 2009-10. As a result, Swoggle was made the official mascot for the group and even got a special edition action figure out of it. Some fans remembered the four-foot superstar and his shenanigans with DX when the faction was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, Hornswoggle answered these questions and discussed his involvement with DX.

When asked about the 2019 Hall of Fame induction of DX, Hornswoggle said, “I was the mascot [for DX]. I was always known as the mascot. People didn’t view me as such, but I knew it, and it’s fine. I never like to think about that. Because if it never were to happen, I can only be let down. Rather than, if for a crazy reason, it does happen, it’s the coolest surprise ever.”

If Hornswoggle does get a WWE Hall of Fame induction, it would be a surprise for the fans as well. With Triple H at the helm this year, will he push for the mascot of DX to get his due recognition? Or maybe the fans will have to wait for the induction of Finlay and his leprechaun together.

Who will be a part of the WWE Hall of Fame 2023?

As WrestleMania returns to Hollywood this year, the WWE Universe expects Batista to finally be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The Animal was supposed to be inducted in 2020, but the ceremony was postponed due to the pandemic. As a result, the Hollywood star couldn’t be a part of the celebration when it eventually happened the following year due to some other commitments. However, Batista promised that he will accept the honor when he is available to thank the fans properly in the future.

Other WWE legends have been excluded from the Hall of Fame as well. These include names like Umaga, Mickie James, and the recently returned William Regal. While Mickie James is over at Impact, most likely having her final run, an induction for Regal is not out of bounds. As WrestleMania week gets closer, WWE will soon start announcing the official names for this year’s Hall of Fame.
