The WWE Universe gets hyped up and excited every time they hear the name Brock Lesnar. He has been one of the most popular and dominant wrestlers for the last 20 years in the pro wrestling industry. His charisma, his personality, and his in-ring skills have always been a treat to watch for the fans. The 45-year-old has been the poster boy for WWE for such a long time.
Brock Lesnar debuted in 2002 with his “Here Comes the Pain” gimmick. At such a young age, he grew a large fan following and won the World Heavyweight Championship. The WWE Universe already knew that he was the “next big thing” in WWE. It soon became a new moniker for Lesnar, and apparently Paul Heyman came up with this idea.
In a recent interview with “Tetragrammaton” and legendary music producer Rick Rubin, Paul Heyman revealed interesting things about the “Next Big Thing” moniker. The 57-year-old said that he told Vince McMahon that they were screwing up with Lesnar, who was the next big thing in WWE. McMahon listened to him and put him in charge of building Brock Lesnar.
The fans loved how well Heyman managed the Beast Incarnate and booked him the way he should. Paul Heyman said that Mr. McMahon even scrapped the idea of him managing Chris Benoit because of Lesnar. Moreover, The Wise Man revealed that Vince hated the “next big thing” moniker that he spoke about. The former WWE Chairman believed that people would puke after listening to that.
However, Vince McMahon was proved wrong by the WWE fans. Luckily, within the next few weeks, the WWE universe showed massive support for Brock Lesnar with chants of “next big thing”. The Beast Incarnate became widely popular, and his association with Paul Heyman as his manager proved to be outstanding. They would go on to become one of the most iconic duos in WWE history.

Paul Heyman recently spoke on “Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin” about how intimidating Brock Lesnar still is. Heyman has worked with the Beast Incarnate for a long period of time and has been a fan favorite. The 57-year-old spoke about the time when Lesnar returned to WWE on an episode of Raw and shocked him. He was astonished by his size even though he had known him for a long time.
Heyman exclaimed that he never saw Lesnar from that angle. Heyman was apparently so shocked that he used the “f” word to describe it. That time he was a part of The Bloodline managing the current WWE Undisputed Champion, Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman could not stop praising Lesnar and the aura he brings around him.
