Through a post on Patreon, Xero News revealed the spoilers for the upcoming episode of Raw, in which there is a huge update on the alliance between JBL and Baron Corbin.

On an episode of Raw in October last year, Baron Corbin made his entrance alongside WWE Hall of Famer JBL. It was a new direction for Corbin’s career and looked promising as well. Corbin and JBL used to bully their opponents every week, which generated a lot of heat from fans. They played poker in a funny backstage segment that seemed very entertaining. 

Recently, Xero News reported some spoilers on Patreon for the upcoming episode of Raw. If the spoilers are to be believed, fans might see JBL parting ways with Baron Corbin. JBL introduced Corbin as the Modern-day wrestling God, which elevated his career and gave him wins as well. However, in the past few weeks, the alliance between them has gotten a little stale. And many believe it’s time for them to part ways and head in a new direction.

In the early days of the Alliance, JBL helped Corbin bully and defeat his opponents every week. They shared a hilarious segment on Raw Is XXX, where they played poker with legends. However, Corbin got buried at the Royal Rumble by Brock Lesnar and was also quickly eliminated from the men’s Rumble match.

After what happened at the Royal Rumble, things got worse for Corbin as he lost against Johnny Gargano last week on Raw as well. It was an Elimination Chamber qualifying match for the United States championship, and JBL was at ringside. Following Corbin’s defeat, JBL looked disappointed, which indicates the end of the alliance.

Baron Corbin’s WWE career has been marked by his impressive athleticism, imposing size, and ability to play a convincing heel character. He was promoted to the main roster in 2016 following his dominant run in NXT. Corbin was known as the “Lone Wolf” at the start of his career. He also won multiple championships and a Money in the Bank ladder match in 2017 as well.

Later in his career, Corbin transitioned himself into the “Constable Corbin” character. Through his authority figure character, Corbin generated a lot of heat from the fans. After being sacked as the constable, Corbin looked lost until he found his most entertaining gimmick, “Sad Corbin.” His “broken” character was very well-received and entertaining. 

Following the change, Corbin adopted the “Happy Corbin” character, who was rich and used to crack jokes on other wrestlers. However, many fans believe Baron Corbin should adopt the most entertaining version of himself, i.e., “Sad Corbin,” after getting split from JBL. WWE might be thinking about a complete change in Corbin’s character and giving a new direction to his career. Not to mention, Corbin is the last wrestler to pin Roman Reigns back in 2019.
