Jimmy Uso sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe when he betrayed his own brother, Jey Uso, this past Saturday. As a result, Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Title in the Tribal Combat. After the match, Jey was seen crying in the middle of the ring. Getting snubbed in the biggest match of his career by his own blood would’ve been the last thing the 37-year-old could think of.
However, as it stands, Jimmy has yet to explain his actions. Regardless of the reason he gives, it will lead to his inevitable match against his own brother. According to WrestleVotes on X, a certain creative force in WWE thinks that “Jimmy vs. Jey” is a WrestleMania-level program. However, it won’t probably end up happening, as the majority feels it would be a long stretch to wait for 35 weeks.
Well, given the incredible success of The Bloodline’s storyline, they could easily stretch for another 35 weeks. However, the most challenging part is for keeping it fresh. There’s a huge risk of delaying the inalienable Brother vs. Brother match between Jimmy and Jey until WrestleMania 40. There’s a possibility that the crowds turn on both of them by the point they usher in the WrestleMania season.
Jimmy vs. Jey isn’t a B-level showdown, and there’s so much potential written over it. If done right, the segments between them would produce a compelling storyline. They could use their real-life history to drive the feud and the storyline. And that’s something The Usos have wanted to do. In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, they expressed the desire to go up against one another before calling it a day in their respective careers.

Is Jimmy Uso back on Roman Reigns’ side after SummerSlam?
One of the biggest queries coming out of SummerSlam has yet to be answered. The question is whether Jimmy has rejoined his cousin. After being manipulated for months, it would be a massive downplay if WWE did go with the same logic. Hence, for it to make sense, they’d need Jimmy to stay away from accepting Reigns’ shelter once again.
WWE has officially announced both Jimmy and Roman for this week’s SmackDown. Quite possibly, Jey Uso would also seek answers from his brother Jimmy. Also, Solo Sikoa’s role is more pivotal than ever. As seen at SummerSlam, he was visibly upset over Reigns accidentally spearing the Bloodline Enforcer. So, the future relationship between Reigns and Solo is something to watch out for.
