Hulk Hogan reveals why King of Pop Michael Jackson apologized to him and his 8-year-old daughter the only time they met

Hulk Hogan was one of the most important figures during the Golden Era of professional wrestling. On the other hand, Michael Jackson was arguably the biggest pop star of that same period. Therefore, it was surprising to learn that the two icons interacted during their peak. The Hulkster recently appeared on Theo Von’s podcast and reminisced about the time he met the legend.

The two icons interacted when Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, was around 8 years old. According to Hogan, it was during a trip with his first wife and two children. Moreover, the WWE Hall of Famer and his family were at Disney on a tourist bus. Coincidentally, Michael was also present to witness the fireworks. Due to security reasons, Hulk’s family was asked to move away to clear the path for the musician.

“It was the only time I met him,” revealed the WWE legend. Furthermore, Hulk Hogan claimed that Jackson met with him to apologize for the inconvenience. However, he didn’t have any issues with it and was cool throughout the situation. Brooke was excited to meet the pop star, as she was a huge fan of him.

All in all, it was a great experience for the 70-year-old and his family. Previously, Brooke Hogan stated that her father is the equivalent of Michael Jackson in terms of their influence on their respective businesses. Also, she has openly expressed how much of a fan she is of the late icon.

Hulk Hogan claims that everyone except Bob Backlund used steroids

The steroid scandal at WWE in the early 1990s was one of the most controversial events in the company’s history. Moreover, this led to federal agencies targeting the biggest superstars of that era, including Hulk Hogan. Recently, the Hulkster shared his opinion about the full story surrounding that period in an interview with Theo Von.

First, he revealed that everyone at that time used steroids except for one wrestler. “There was only one person I knew who didn’t use them, and that was Bob Backlund,” Hulk Hogan claimed. Furthermore, the Hall of Famer stated that the only reason he was targeted was because he was the “poster boy” during that time.

The entirety of this period was well documented, and it led to one of the toughest intervals in the promotion’s history. As a result, the focus was switched to younger and more technical wrestlers such as Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Therefore, it placed an emphasis on the wrestling skills in the ring rather than the physique of the wrestler.
