On September 26, the WWE made it official that they have signed former AEW superstar Jade Cargill to a multi-year contract. Following the official announcement of her contract signing, Cargill has opened up about why she chose WWE over AEW. She also shed light on the role WWE superstar Cody Rhodes played in her decision.

Speaking for the first time since signing with WWE on The Masked Man Show, Jade was asked about the reason that motivated her to jump the ship from AEW to WWE. “I want to create a legacy. I want to be in the Hall of Fame; I want to wrestle with the best women in the world. There is no grander stage than this stage,” answered the former AEW star.

The 31-year-old revealed that WWE is a monumental stage for any wrestler and that she can fulfill her dream of competing with some of the finest women on the roster. She further added that the opportunities within WWE are limitless, and that alone made the decision easy for her.

Big Jade further expatiated on her equation with Cody Rhodes, who also hopped from AEW to WWE in 2022. “He was top three, and not third. He is a phenomenal man. I’ve seen what the business did for him, I’ve seen him be the stellar athlete that he is,” said Cargill. She admitted that The American Nightmare played a major role in influencing her decision.

The new WWE signee is training at the Performance Center in Orlando. Her debut on NXT or the main roster is still uncertain, but WWE has big plans for her in the promotion.

Recently WWE made a huge announcement about its brand-new contract signing with erstwhile AEW star Jade Cargill. It created a buzz in the wrestling community. Thus, several WWE and AEW superstars came forward to congratulate Cargill and Bayley was among those to welcome the latest signee.

Bayley took to her X handle and quoted WWE’s official announcement post about Jade’s contract signing. She wrote, “Hello, I am the Tree of Life here in the WWE. Pleasure to meet you. Please feel free to watch very closely this Friday as I break down that cheating, nosey, idiot @MsCharlotteWWE. Enjoy!!!!!!!!! And welcome……” obliterating Charlotte Flair in the hilarious welcoming tweet.

The 31-year-old wasn’t reluctant to react to Bayley’s post and said, “Warm welcome from a “role model. Heard from my friends you’re also the one to look out for,” in a witty response. Fans have shown their excitement for a potential Bayley vs. Jade Cargill feud in the comments.
