The WWE Universe was brought to the edge of their seats when the arena echoed with The Rock‘s music at Raw Day One. Interrupting Jinder Mahal, The Great One not only reminded the younger talent why he’s still the People’s Champ, but there was more to it. After laying waste to the Modern Day Maharaja, he electrified the crowd by asking whether he should sit at The Head of the Table, challenging Roman Reigns.

Speaking on WWE Super Dhamaal, Jey Uso was asked about his take on the brewing situation. The 38-year-old responded that he himself is looking at the possibility of a match between The Brahma Bull and The Tribal Chief as a fan. While he attributed the match’s capacity to generate a serious deal of money and news, he did show his concern for The Rock.

My reaction to The Rock wanting to be the head of the table, money. I just don’t think The Rock knows what he’s getting himself into when it comes to The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Rock’s got a big uphill battle.

According to Jey, Reigns is someone who has the Bloodline behind him. If The Great One wishes to deal with him, then he’ll have to face the faction. Uso compared this challenge to a tough uphill battle. However, he also showed his excitement to see The Rock overcome these obstacles.

While fans haven’t heard from The Rock since his bombshell statement, the fatal 4-way match at Royal Rumble is keeping Reigns busy. On the other hand, Jey Uso seems to be making his way towards a singles title in 2024. He recently discussed it as his goal for 2024; time will tell how much success the UCE will be able to achieve.

Roman Reigns climbs another rung on the history’s ladder

On January 20, 2024, Roman Reigns claimed the 4th longest reign in the history of WWE. A week before the Royal Rumble, where he’ll be in the fatal 4-way match, he surpassed Bruno Sammartino’s 1,237-day reign. Reigns now sits behind Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund, and Sammartino once again.

Reigns, who started his campaign as the Universal Champion and later unified the titles at WrestleMania 38, now stands at 1,238 days. Sammartino still stands at the apex, and to surpass him, The Tribal Chief will have to hold on to the titles till May 4, 2028. If Roman manages to cross the 1,474-day mark, he’ll not only surpass Hogan but also become the longest reigning Champion of the last 40 years.

With WWE’s success stemming from massive international deals, the star power of Roman Reigns matters a lot. The Head of the Table is not only one of the leading merchandise sellers but has constantly improved the Blue Brand’s ratings in the last few years. Regardless of how fans see it, he has etched his name as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time in WWE.
