“Cheapened the credibility of future WWE stars”; When John Cena blasted Dwayne Johnson for leaving WWE and moving into Hollywood

John Cena and Dwayne Johnson
The rivalry between Dwayne Johnson and John Cena has adorned the wrestling industry with some of the greatest rivalries in its history. The two men have been a part of some of the most epic battles including their fantastic matches at the Grandest Stage of them All, WrestleMania. Though the two men have brought themselves into Hollywood now, their feud is still cherished with excitement.
A few years ago when Cena had not stepped his foot in the Hollywood industry and Johnson had started making headlines with his work in the movies, the franchise player made some comments on Johnson’s switching of industries. Cena also reacted to Johnson’s projects and opened up on how the Samoan superstar had started talking trash about WWE. Here’s what he said:

“The truth is that Dwayne Johnson is a great actor and I think always wanted to be an actor, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s like an athlete saying, ‘Hey, I don’t do drugs,’ and then getting busted for drugs. Here’s a guy who said he was WWE through and through, and then the first chance to take a road to a different career path, he took it.”
“Though he is one of the hardest workers you’ll ever meet, but I feel Johnson cheapened the credibility of future WWE stars, such as himself. It just cheapens that phrase, ‘Oh, I love this business.’ So then next time I come up and say I love this business, well, the guy before me who said that left. That doesn’t look good for me or our business.”
John Cena is rumored to return to WWE very soon
John Cena has made a lot of returns to the ring even after stepping his feet in the Hollywood industry. The former WWE champion made a return to the squared circle at SummerSlam 2021 and that same is rumored to happen once again. Cena is reported to come back to the squared circle in June this year but his opponent is still not revealed.
