Following his legendary WWE career, John Cena became one of the top Hollywood stars. Being a movie star at that scale comes with its own set of challenges. While talking in the press conference following Fastlane, Cena revealed why he cannot work in WWE and Hollywood together. He also said that he might have to go back to Hollywood as soon as the writers’ strike is over.

The 16-time champion said, “I made it perfectly clear, you can’t do both because of the liability and insurance. If I were to try and juggle both, that’s very selfish because I would put a whole lot of people in the movie business out of work if something happened to me,” Cena continued. “So, as soon as we get back to work, we go back to work. But, I don’t control any of that.”

As the main lead in any movie, stars have to take a lot of precautions, as any injury might delay the entire movie schedule. This might cost the production houses millions of dollars. Therefore, John Cena said that he would not mix his passion for wrestling and acting together, as it might end up being a mistake on both fronts.

The Rock was in a similar situation when he came back to wrestle in 2013. When he was wrestling John Cena at WrestleMania 29, The Rock got injured. This cost him months of rehabilitation and delayed all of his ongoing projects. This also cost the production houses millions and affected the work of a lot of people. Therefore, ever since, the People’s Champion never had a long-term feud.

It is expected that Cena might face the youngest member of the Bloodline at Crown Jewel. WWE is certainly teasing the same, which was also evident in the latest episode of NXT. When Solo came out to help Bron Breakker on NXT, Cena took him out as the main event continued. The two were previously involved in the tag team match at Fastlane.

Cena teamed up with LA Knight to defeat Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. John Cena once compared Solo to his uncle Umaga. Therefore, fans have been wanting to see the showdown between Cena and the former North American Champion.
