John Cena had referred to Vince McMahon as his father figure

Back in 2021, John Cena gave Vince McMahon high praise in an interview with Graham Matthews of the Bleacher Report, claiming that Vince means more to him than anybody could ever comprehend and that he is a close friend, a mentor, and akin to a father figure. Vince means a lot to John Cena, who has said that he is unsure whether he would ever be able to fully express how much he values and loves Vince.

Around 2010, John Cena and Vince McMahon engaged in a brief storyline in which they squared off against one another twice. On both occasions, Cena lost—once due to interference from Triple H and again after McMahon declared a no-disqualification match after realizing he would lose.

AEW Superstar Max Caster who goes by the Rapper gimmick in the promotion had mentioned Vince McMahon’s retiring in his pre match rap, he said

“No filter, I ain’t Instagram, we’ll make the Ass Boys retire like Vince McMahon.”

John Cena who also displayed a rapper gimmick early on in his career took no time in replying the AEW star. He shared a picture of Caster on his Instagram handle. John had stated once that he wont beat Caster in a Rap battle.
