John Cena never fails to over-deliver stuff. That being said, the WWE great recently shot a special segment with the United States Champion, on the last SmackDown of 2022.

John Cena blew the roof off Amalie arena in Tampa when he made his magnificent WWE return. On the last SmackDown of 2022, the Cenation Leader teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. Although, Cena didn’t got much ring time, bare minutes of him performing his signature manuevers made the WWE Universe go bananas. At the end, Owens and Cena picked up the win.
The 16-time World Champion also thanked everyone for letting him do the rightful inside of that squared circle for 20 years. However, that just wasn’t it. Apart from the aforementioned stuff, John Cena did more business for WWE. According to Fightful Select, the Franchise Player filmed a backstage segment with Austin Theory. Only thing is, the purpose behind that video tape is unknown.
It may be for the promotional package of WWE 2k game, or possibly any future television airing might be the cause. Needless to say, the Prototype’s one-off television appearance did wonders for the company. As a matter of fact, the December 30th SmackDown episode pulled in an average of over 2.6 million viewers. Some detailed figures suggest that last quarter involving the WWE legend drew over 2.8 million people on FOX.
Adding some more beer in the glass, John Cena’s pre-announced appearance led to a sold out crowd, worth over 15,000 people in attendance. It’s high time to finally admit that outside of Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, his arch nemesis John Cena, remains the biggest draw in today’s wrestling. Whenever he’s in, people amass in numbers to witness their champ, live in-person.

Is John Cena going to compete at WrestleMania 39?
Although it’s hard to say, but most likely The Peacemaker star will wrestle in Los Angeles, this spring. For information, he’ll be engaged in the shoot of another movie in Australia in months to come. This obligation will force Mr. Hustler, Loyalty & Respect to dedicate February and March of this year, freeing him just at the 11th hour for Mania’23.
If Cena do manages to make it to WrestleMania, he’ll most likely face Logan Paul. As previously reported by WrestlingNews.co, WWE is planning to have The Maverick against The Champ at Showcase of the Immortals. So being said, this will be a mainstream exhibition for the Stamford-based promotion.
Also, if given the freedom, Cena and Paul can verbally destroy each other on the microphone. And coming on to the in-ring part, Logan Paul has proved himself as a fantastic performer, and Cena doesn’t needs any say in this direction. Overall, if happens, Paul vs. Cena can easily outshine everyone else on the card.
