Logan Paul has been one of the biggest prospects of WWE. Ever since his debut at WrestleMania 38, The Maverick has been making big waves on the main roster. He even managed to secure his first singles title, The United States Championship within such a short duration. It seems his caliber has also been acknowledged by the Greatest-of-All-Time, John Cena.
The 16-time World Champion believes that the sky is the limit for the 28-year-old as he named him the next Roman Reigns. For Cena, WWE has always had an amazing pool of talent. Cena also explained how the fans expect the stars of today to match the charisma of those from yesteryears.
WWE has never been at a loss for talent. They go through these small patches in the timeline where they’re like, What are they going to do next? Now it’s like, Who’s gonna be the next Roman Reigns? Sitting right there.” (Hinting at Logan).John Cena during the Podcast
Though the Maverick might be on cloud nine after hearing the praise from the Leader of Cenation, he seemed to have a differing opinion. He went on to propose the former NXT North American Champion, Dominik Mysterio as the top star of WWE. Cena too seemed to have chimed in as he joined in the shoutout to the 26-year-old.
Even though the conversation seemed to have diverted, Cena continued praising Paul for making a brave transition from being a part-timer to a Champion. Cena also praised the YouTuber for putting his body on the line and respecting the wrestling endeavor.
Logan Paul gets emotional as he discusses the fallout with his idol, Dwayne The Rock Johnson
The latest edition of ImPaulsive unveiled a lot in the lives of John Cena and Logan Paul. While the Maverick tried to throw shade at the Great One, the conversation eventually brought him to an emotional point. He discussed his previous ties with the latest addition to the TKO Board of Directors and then how “Japan happened.”
My hero and to the highest degree I wanted to be like Dwayne. I would have considered us acquaintances, at least. We were just great, and then Japan happened. I hurt him so much that he basically wanted nothing to do with me.Logan Paul on his relationship with The Rock
Additionally, Paul would reflect on how he not only let himself and his family down, but, the fact that his idol was disappointed in him, hurt him the most. The whole segment felt as if Paul had lost control over his emotions, he is usually someone who is known for being highly calculated.
Japan has the highest rate of suicide in the developed world. Aokigahara forest is known as one of the hotspots for such an unfortunate phenomenon. The Maverick has seemingly redeemed from the filming incident. Meanwhile, The Rock is actively playing a role in WWE’s business. Time will tell if they’ll ever cross paths and let the bygones be bygones.
