Last week, CM Punk dropped his latest bombshell on AEW writing a lengthy message on his deleted Instagram story. In it, he explained the feud with Jon Moxley and why it happened the way it did. The former AEW World Champion dissed Dave Meltzer, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley in his story, which has now finally prompted Mox to give his reply.

In his deleted story, CM Punk had accused Jon Moxley of refusing to lose to him and coming up with the Rocky III idea that “sucked” according to him. Speaking on his wife’s podcast, The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Mox narrated his side of the story. The three-time AEW champion said, “I don’t want to get dragged into this dumb s**t. I could f***ing unload on a lot of f***ing people right now. And when I start getting dragged into this s**t, it tempts me to do that, but I’m not gonna sink to that f***ing level.”

Jon Moxley revealed that he was working with AEW without a contract at the time. The then-AEW interim champion mentions that he was working elsewhere over the SummerSlam week. As per Moxley, he could’ve “walked into SummerSlam that night with the AEW f***ing belt” if he so wished.

Talking about the meeting with Tony Khan and Punk, Mox adds, “I don’t even work here. Tony is not my boss […] So even me being in this room and offering and agreeing to a storyline that puts you over at the pay-per-view if anything, I’m bending over backwards for Tony and for this dude and for the company and everybody.”

Over the past few years, Jon Moxley has emerged as the most reliable and trusted guy within AEW. This became more evident in his recent comments when revealed he was crowned as the top champion in the company without even signing a new deal. The former WWE superstar has reportedly canceled his vacation multiple times just to save the company in its dark times.

However, everyone has some limits and finally, Jon Moxley met his as he gave one big criticism about AEW. Jon said, “I don’t think I’ve ever said anything even remotely negative about AEW but I will say this. As an observer it seems like I spent eight years on the indies, spent a couple of years in WWE developmental, spent like eight years in WWE, I’ve never seen so much bulls**t drama in one place in my entire f***g life.”

Jon Moxley is currently involved in a storyline with Hangman, The Dark Order, and The Elite. The former AEW champion has transitioned to the trios division seamlessly with his Blackpool Combat Club. The heel group recently attacked The Young Bucks on Dynamite, sending them to the hospital.
