WWE legend Dave Bautista is one of the best superstars from the Ruthless Aggression era. A lot of fans grew up watching the animal and aspired to wrestle him one day. WWE superstar Karrion Kross had also shown interest in facing Bautista in a wrestling ring. Recently, Kross clarified the purpose and motive behind challenging the former champion.
Karrion Kross reacted in a throwback video where he called the 51-year-old to a Bloodsport match in GCW. Kross commented on the video, explaining his side of the promo. He revealed that he had recently faced Jon Moxley and had heard that Batista was in the building shooting for a movie. Kross was a big fan of Batista’s work in WWE and always dreamed of wrestling him in the ring.
Unfortunately, Bautista had retired then, and hence, Kross never got a reply. The 51-year-old faced Triple H at WrestleMania 35, which was his final match to this date. It does not seem that Batista might ever return from retirement to wrestle, but Karrion Kross would have been a great opponent for the Animal.
Currently, Kross appears on WWE programming as he seeks his place on the roster. He last appeared in a feud with AJ Styles, where they contested a match on SmackDown in August. Since then, SmackDown hasn’t featured the former NXT Champion, but fans eagerly anticipate Kross’s return.
