The WWE Universe experienced significant changes following the transfer of creative control from Vince McMahon to Triple H. One of the things that Hunter did was to bring back the superstars that Vince had released. Karrion Kross was one such name that the company rehired. Kross was Triple H’s project, and the latter had some major plans for him on the roster. However, the fans saw that the company did not use him to his full potential. In a recent interview, Karrion Kross expressed his frustrations with his bookings on the roster.
During an interview with Josh Martinez of New York’s Z100 radio station, Karrion Kross said that he is really exasperated with his current bookings. He believes that he hasn’t reached his full potential yet and that he still has a lot to offer. Moreover, Kross also said that he needs opportunities to display what he is capable of. “[…] Once I am afforded that particular shot to demonstrate what I can really do, what I’ve done where people on a major scale haven’t seen it? People are gonna be blown away. And I’m gonna fight for that every single week, to get closer and closer to that shot. And I’m being straight with you, I’m being very real,” he said.
While speaking to Martinez, Karrion Kross said that he could provide compelling storytelling if he gets the right opportunity. However, the 37-year-old said that he knows it is difficult to get the spotlight with such a big roster and only 2 hours of the show. The Doomsday continued that if WWE gives him proper screentime, he would enthral the audience and engross them in his storyline.
Karrion Kross has been a former NXT Champion. Moreover, he has provided some incredible storylines with the NXT superstars. However, the company failed to harness his potential on the main roster when Vince McMahon was in charge of creative control. With Triple H taking control, he sees that potential in Kross and considers him a major project. However, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 37 year-old star on the main roster.
Karrion Kross’ bumpy journey on the main roster

The former NXT star made his main roster debut on July 19, 2021, on Monday Night Raw. He appeared on Raw as the NXT Champion and faced Jeffy Hardy in a match, losing for the first time. Additionally, he performed on the roster for quite some time before becoming a victim of the WWE releases by Mr. McMahon. The company released him on November 4, along with Scarlett.
On the August 5, 2022 episode of SmackDown, Karrion Kross shocked the WWE Universe by making his return to WWE. Triple H brought him back into the company after he took the driver’s seat in creative control. On his SmackDown debut, the former NXT champion attacked Drew McIntyre. Since then, Kross found himself in major feuds with Drew and Rey Mysterio. However, he has not done much on the main roster. The WWE Universe has yet to see his full potential on the main roster.
