The Clash at the Castle Live event on Sunday saw Former NXT Champion Karrion Kross in attendance. Karrion Kross was spotted sitting alongside his wife Scarlett at the event. The event was a decent one, with good performances of all the wrestlers, and most notable praise going to the Tag match between Rey Mysterio, Edge and the Judgement Day. The match saw Dominik Mysterio’s heel turn and was one of the best from the night. The fans appreciated the match between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns, even if it wasn’t a very outstanding one. Solo Sikoa, the cousin of Roman and younger brother of the Usos, made his debut during the event.
Karrion Kross made his comeback to WWE on August 5th edition of SmackDown, where he interrupted Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre during their conversation and attacked McIntyre brutally. Thereafter Karrion Kross teased Drew McIntyre through his antics on the roster. This week on SmackDown, Kross competed in his first match since his return to the roster. He defeated Drew Gulak in a singles match via submission. Karrion Kross is now expected to be in a storyline with Roman Reigns. After the Clash at the Castle event, Kross took to twitter to message about Roman Reigns. He said that he is ready to crumble Roman Reigns’ empire.
“I told you. They chose him. And they were wrong. This Empire must fall.”
Karrion Kross had spoken about recent changes in the WWE
Recently, Karrion Kross and his wife had appeared on After the Bell Podcast with Corey Graves, where he spoke about the creative freedom that they will have in Triple H’s regime. He said that the current support is the one that he used to feel during his time in NXT, indicating that working under Triple H feels very supportive. Karrion Kross said that their ideas are accepted and if they don’t then the WWE has a very reasonable explanation as to why they would not love to expand the idea. He stated that it is a collaborative effort and if one is an independent wrestler then this is the place that they need to go.
It has also been reported that Karrion Kross may be involved in a feud with Drew McIntyre now, as the latter has some unfinished business with him. The two are expected to face each other at the Extreme Rules Live event next month.
