WWE presented their third edition of Monday Night Raw under the new leadership of Paul Levesque as Head of creative from the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC and Kevin Nash have nothing but his appreciation for what we witnessed on the USA Network from 8-11 pm last night. The show had some things announced in advance including the first time ever match featuring Bobby Lashley defending his United States Championship against AJ Styles, Riddle’s exclusive interview where was set to address his future after suffering multiple beatdowns from Seth Rollins and the second round match in the Women’s Tag-team Championship TOURNAMENT between Asuka and Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop.
The show however opened with The Judgement Day once again brutalizing the legendary luchadore Rey Mysterio with steel chair and ganging him up with a 3 on 1 situation. The crowd was chanting “We want Edge” but he was nowhere to be found and we now know that Edge will take on Damian Priest next week in his hometown of Toronto one on one.
One major highlight of last night’s episode was the organic promo battle between Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre who were clearly seen to put in their lives in those bare minutes just to sell their match moments later to the crowd and the intensity of their conversation was what that had been not heard in years on WWE Raw.
Triple H is certainty giving more freedom to his superstars and that is absolutely paying off for everyone. The night had another fantastic exhibition of solid “wrestling” matches with the likes of McIntyre vs. Owens, Lashley vs. Styles and the main-event between Theory and Dolph Ziggler and let me tell you that everyone was a banger in its own right. The United States Title is getting that respect once again under the influence of Triple H and he’s adamant of reviving the lost glory of these mid- card titles once again.
Kevin Nash seems greatly impressed with WWE Raw last night
It’s not very often you see a superstar or a legend from the past expressing his/her appreciation for a weekly WWE episodic show but you can expect that to increase now under the so-called new era of WWE. As so is the case with the most recent edition of Raw that has earned the approval of Big Daddy Cool aka Kevin Nash who reached out to Twitter this morning for writing nothing but all positive in his report card judging last night’s show. You can check what Kevin Nash said in his tweet below.
