Kofi Kingston is well aware of the ongoing rush in WWE. Despite that, he’s a veteran in that locker room and needs to ensure any kind of rumors or speculations don’t get under his skin. As a matter of fact, he’s exactly doing that. The former United States Champion was asked about the mental state of WWE superstars in recent times, to which Kingston gave a well-knitted answer.

According to him, the hierarchy shouldn’t affect the mind of a performer. Regardless of who’s running the shows, their sole focus remains to entertain the WWE Universe and keep delivering some great matches. Also, Kingston implied on having a laser-focused mentality about their vision, leaving behind the backstage turmoil that’s going around. While talking to SHAK Wrestling, here’s exactly what he said:

“That’s the one thing, regardless of whoever’s in charge, or whoever owns this, that’s what we’re going to do. That’s what we’re always going to do. That is the most important thing. I think the mentality for us is just to kind of have laser vision and keep putting on great matches. That’s what we’re going to do.”

Well, the former WWE Champion has seen many days and nights throughout his career. Debuting in 2008, it took him over a decade to capture the most coveted prize in Sports Entertainment – the WWE Championship. At WrestleMania 35, he defied all the odds to get past Daniel Bryan and achieve the unthinkable. To this date, that moment is still regarded as one of the greatest in the show’s history.

The Men’s Royal Rumble matches are incomplete without the inhumane innovations of Kofi Kingston. Over the years, he’s responsible for producing numerous ways to prevent himself from getting thrown over the top rope. For instance, back in the 2013 edition, Kingston used JBL’s commentary chair to hop his way back into the ring.

After hitting all the arrows on target, the African wrestler botched his attempt last year. He was unable to maintain his balance on the barricades and slipped through, marking his first-ever failure while performing these stunts. However, the current half of the NXT Tag-Team Champions doesn’t need to worry much.

He’s already announced his participation in this year’s Royal Rumble match. And to rub medicine on previous wounds, Kingston might’ve figured out a way out to startle the WWE fans. Regardless of the match outcome, Kofi Kingston remains one of the most exciting things about these highly enduring matchups.
