Reported details behind Vince McMahon’s WWE ouster & return
Last year, Vince McMahon faced serious allegations of sexual misconduct and a hush money scandal. Therefore, he was forced to step down from his role as WWE CEO. However, he returned to power shortly after and presided over WWE’s Board of Directors. However, a new report features new insights on the internal investigation of Mr. McMahon.
According to the LA Times, McMahon showed some reluctance while stepping up from his roles. Moreover, he also claimed that all the encounters were consensual. Furthermore, the payoffs were allegedly made only in order to protect the company against possible litigation.
The report also claims that Vince McMahon used his voting power to come back to the company. It also indicates that McMahon viewed the internal investigation as disloyal. However, he returned to the company last December. The 78-year-old currently serves as the Executive Chairman of TKO Group Holdings following the billion-dollar merger.
