The Undertaker is arguably, one of the best characters in the history of WWE. The Hall of Famer was known for staying true to his persona when most of his fellow wrestlers would give up. It solidified his character and portrayed him as “The Phenom”. WWE legend Kurt Angle revealed that he once attempted to make the Undertaker break his character.

Debuting as The Dead Man in 1990, The Undertaker quickly established himself as the company’s top star. He remained constant in WWE despite all the changes that happened in the industry over the past 30 years. The Phenom finally decided to hang up his boots in 2020 after defeating AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

While talking on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, former WWE Champion Kurt Angle talked about The Undertaker. He recalled that during a house show on their tour in Japan, Angle offered a handshake to Undertaker after their match. The gold medalist tried to hug him, which Taker accepted. Angle went a step further and tried to kiss him on the lips before running out of the ring.

The Undertaker looked furious with Kurt Angle after the joke. However, he did not attack Angle immediately. The Olympic gold medalist also revealed that he was scared that Taker might even kill him. In spite of that, this remains Angle’s favorite moment with Undertaker in the ring.

The joke was part of a tradition that was followed by several wrestlers in the WWE. The senior wrestlers tried to make the Undertaker break his character. Several other superstars like Vince McMahon, Triple H, JBL, and Stone Cold Steve Austin have also tried to make The Dead Man laugh a little during the shows.

The Olympic gold medalist also revealed on his podcast, that The Undertaker later scolded him about his prank. Angle added that Undertaker came to him during the flight after the show and warned him. This legitimately scared Kurt Angle as Taker was not someone to fool around.

During their flight back from the show, Undertaker came close to Angle and told him that he will make him pay for the joke. He did not define the exact time or place of that attack but said that the reply will come accordingly. However, Taker did not do anything to Angle, as both share a great friendship to this day.

The Undertaker was known as the locker-room leader during his time in WWE. Therefore, no one ever tried to cross his decisions and choices. Other legends like The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H, or Kurt Angle would, however, try to have fun with Taker due to their decades-long relations with him.
