“Not too shabby! Lol,” Kurt Angle touts his unique achievement for being a honorary member of The Shield and DX

Kurt Angle had quite a memorable outing on this week's Raw 30. Becoming a part of DX for a while recalled another short-term alliance of The Olympic Gold medalist from 2017.

When it comes to replacing someone in legendary factions, no one comes even close to Kurt Angle. On this week’s Raw IS XXX, he filled in the shoes of Billy Gunn, revealing himself as the honorary member of D-Generation X. Upon saying so, Shawn Michaels asked him to pass a test. In a hilarious turn of events, DX & Angle kept everyone on their toes and produced a comical gem.

But, this wasn’t the only occasion where Kurt Angle made a substitution. Back in 2017, at Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view, The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose) was originally slated to battle The Bar, Braun Strowman, The Miz and Kane. However, hours before the event, Reigns caught an infection, which ruled him out of the contention. Then Raw General Manager Kurt Angle took his spot and represented The Shield alongside Rollins & Ambrose.

Taking into account such bizarre moments in his career, Angle recently took to his Twitter. By doing so, he quoted a reply to an image which stated the 54-year old being the only one to have represented The Shield as well as DX. Flaunting that inaccessible feat, Angle said, “The only person to be in both the Shield and DX? Not too shabby! Lol. #itstrue.”

Angle’s golden interaction with DX wasn’t all on this week’s Raw. Instead, there’s more to this. Just when the rebellious Attitude Era faction was about to get into their grooves, Imperium crashed the party. A group led by the Intercontinental Champion Gunther berated the WWE legends for making a mockery of this great sport.

To save the day, Seth Rollins & The Street Profits made their way out. An even field of 6 viable competitors called for a tag team match between them. After Teddy Long made this official, Hunter and his group didn’t had to scout any referee as Kurt Angle unveiled himself being the one. So being said, Angle was already wearing a USA themed referee T-Shirt, after which he officiated the match.

At one point, Gunther decided to have a nice little staredown with the Hall of Famer. Things got interesting when Angle pushed The Ring General with authority. But, before any catastrophe could hit, Seth Rollins saved Kurt from a possible beatdown, courtesy of the reigning Intercontinental Champion.
