Barely hours before stepping into the battleground in Riyadh, LA Knight and Roman Reigns went face-to-face on SmackDown. The show was already taped last week, and a few scoops were swirling in the market. However, the segment started with The Megastar’s arrival, followed by The Tribal Chief. As soon as they got into it, Knight started strong by affirming that he was going to take over the Roman Empire.

After hearing enough of his opponent, Reigns decided to take this deep. The champion iterated that the only thing LA has accomplished is to make people chant his name. And how could Roman have let this go? Just when everyone thought Reigns wouldn’t have much to outdo Knight, he went into LA’s past. Referring to his time on The Rock‘s reality show, The Hero, he called The Megastar a redneck version of his cousin.

Seemingly, the 41-year-old was left impressed, as he couldn’t help but have a smirk on his face. Finally, Roman warned his counterpart about the beating he’d get at Crown Jewel. Then Knight came back into it and asked Reigns to better get the job done because if he failed, the Samoan would be hobbling at the mere sight of LA Knight’s coronation.

The segment ended on a high for LA Knight. To ensure there’s no pre-match anticlimax, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis had his men in place to keep the two superstars at bay. Somehow, Roman gave a vapid push to LA; however, there was no melee to break things up. The former Eli Drake seems up and running to chin-check the record-breaking man of WWE. The stakes have never been higher.

LA Knight has been in town for Crown Jewel since yesterday. The last time he was there, he had a small crew of fellow superstars going on a city tour. However, this time around, he’s in the main event of what would be his biggest wrestling match to date.

But before coming at Roman with all his guns blazing, Knight met a few kids in Riyadh and played with them. A clip that has been making the rounds on the internet shows Knight having a heartfelt conversation with a young lad.

The kid asked LA to come to his place, which The Megastar couldn’t refute, and said that they’ve got to make this happen. He had a huge smile on his face, and that’s eventually what it’s all about. Seemingly, there are no traces of The Tribal Chief just yet, but he might be there at any moment.
