LA Knight didn’t let The Rock take all the credit for WWE’s resurgence over the past year. He was one of the most important superstars to propel the company to new heights. The Megastar expressed his opinion on The Rock’s statement and told whose game it was.

Knight gave an interview on Busted Open, discussed WWE’s growth, and repeated The Rock‘s statement on it. He stated that although he agrees with The Great One that wrestling has become cool, it wasn’t because of him. The Megastar affirmed that wrestling had been cool way before the Brahma Bull’s return.

WWE had its most successful year in the company’s history in 2023, with merchandise sales and social media engagement going through the roof. LA Knight was also an integral part of WWE’s success, as he had one of the best years of his career. He also had an opportunity to battle Roman Reigns in the main event of Crown Jewel, but unfortunately, he lost

I hear him say wrestling is cool again, and he's right, but I want to make sure everybody knows it started getting cool again six or seven months before he got there. I'm not saying he can't add to that cool factor or that he won't. I'm just saying, wrestling is cool again, and wrestling was cool again before he came back.

The Megastar is heavily invested in a rivalry with The Phenomenal AJ Styles and recently laid out a challenge to him. Styles accepted Knight’s challenge as WWE made this match official after the latest edition of SmackDown. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top to win this rivalry at WrestleMania.

LA Knight was worried that fans thought he was being shoved down their throats

The wrestling fans saw the rise of LA Knight last year, and their love and support for him is still strong. However, amid success, The Megastar was once worried about whether fans would be fed up with him for being over pushed.

The 41-year-old star discussed the concern of being forced on the fans in the interview on Busted Open. His sudden rise to the top led him to challenge Roman Reigns for the world title at Crown Jewel. However, before the match, he feared that fans might grow tired of seeing him get multiple opportunities.

Jumping straight into the WWE Championship back at Crown Jewel was a little fast to where I almost worried that it might make people go, ah! They’re not gonna do this? They’re not gonna shove him down our throat like this? Are they? Because there is that potential.

The positive thing is that the love and support from fans haven’t lowered down a bit. After all these years of struggle, he will battle in his first-ever WrestleMania match against a formidable opponent in the form of AJ Styles. Only time will tell what the future holds for The Megastar.
