The main event of Crown Jewel will be Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Knight showed why he deserves to be in the main event. The show started with a contract signing between the two superstars. As usual, Roman Reigns was about to make his slow-paced entrance first. However, to everyone’s surprise, Knight cut Reigns’ music off and made his entrance.
Not only did LA Knight walk out to the ring when Reigns had not finished, but he did not even acknowledge the Tribal Chief while walking past him. This was met by a thunderous reaction from the fans in attendance. Knight walked down to the ring and sat at the head of the table, playing mind games with Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns tried to belittle LA Knight by saying that he has never even been challenged for a world championship before in WWE. However, Knight fired back at Reigns, saying that he only needs one shot. He also took a dig at Reigns’ past when he was struggling to get over it.
The charisma and confidence displayed by The Megastar made him a worthy contender for the spot in the main event. He has given a glimpse of his charisma to the WWE Universe. With Roman Reigns on an unprecedented run, the chances of LA Knight dethroning him at Crown Jewel are very low. However, after the meteoric rise that Knight has had in the past few months, fans will not complain if Knight is the one to dethrone the Tribal Chief. It will be interesting to see what transpires at the upcoming premium live event.
LA Knight hits Roman Reigns with a Blunt Force Trauma
The latest episode of SmackDown revolved around adding more storylines to the main event of Crown Jewel. Following the contract signing in the opening segment, LA Knight wrestled in the main event against Jimmy Uso. The match was made official by Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, as they appointed Jimmy Uso to take care of the LA Knight problem.
However, Jimmy Uso failed to put away Knight, losing to The Megastar in the main event of the night. This was not acceptable to the Tribal Chief, who then ran out of the ring to beat the LA Knight up. However, this time, Knight was ready for the attack and retaliated instead.
To everyone’s shock, LA Knight hit Roman Reigns with his finisher, Blunt Force Trauma. The crowd went berserk at the scene as Reigns hit the mat hard upon the move. This helped Knight look like a legit threat to the Head of the Table ahead of their first-ever clash at Crown Jewel.
