On the latest episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan Paul discussed his potential SummerSlam opponents. With Seth Rollins as his guest, The Maverick had two names in mind: LA Knight and Ricochet. The said episode was recorded on the morning of Money in the Bank in London. Till then, WWE was too undecided on Paul’s SummerSlam match.

However, it appears like Logan had already chosen whom he would like to face. During the aforementioned podcast, the 28-year-old seemed inclined towards Ricochet. Recalling their viral encounter at the Royal Rumble, Logan Paul said Ricochet is quite possibly WWE’s most athletic guy right now. Seth Rollins also nodded to this fact. The Maverick said that he’d love to out-athlete the former United States Champion.

While talking about LA Knight, Logan Paul referred to him as an old man Ricker. The YouTuber acknowledged that the crowd absolutely adores him, which pisses Logan off. Quite evidently, after their segment on SmackDown in London, fans thought that WWE could have Knight vs. Paul at a future event. However, they scrapped that option and instead chose Ricochet for that spot.

And later that night, Ricochet and Paul once again made the headlines. They pulled off a gravity-defying spot through the tables outside of the ring. That Spanish Fly off the middle rope saw Logan Paul landing face first on the floor. Thankfully, neither of them got injured. One would feel that it would be counted as a missed opportunity if WWE fails to produce LA Knight vs. Logan Paul ever.

Is LA Knight still going to WWE SummerSlam?

This Friday on SmackDown, LA Knight will battle Sheamus, Rey Mysterio and Cameron Grimes in a US Title Invitational match. After his passionate promo last week, he’s considered the favorite to dethrone the A-Town Down. That being said, if Knight wins his match this week, he will battle Santos Escobar to determine the No. 1 contender for the United States Title.

Apparently, WWE officials have also decided to make it big with the former NXT superstar. The production trucks are no longer piping in fake boos for the Megastar. Knight getting a separate segment from his counterparts says a lot. All these are indicative of something good for LA Knight. He’s been getting the love from the WWE Universe. It’s time to see whether the creative has a similar vision or not.

A potential title match against Austin Theory seems to be the only way for Knight to make the SummerSlam card. That too if the 40-year-old wins the Invitational Tourney and WWE books their match at Ford Field. In a perfect world scenario for the fans, Knight would need to capture his first major title in WWE at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
