Real-life Bloodline member reportedly set to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame class of 2024 just got bigger and better with the inclusion of Thunderbolt Patterson. Now, according to reports from Dave Meltzer, another real-life Bloodline member is set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The name in question is Lia Maivia.

Lia Maivia is the wife of professional wrestling legend, Peter Maivia and the grandmother of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Meltzer wrote that Triple H himself handpicked the selection of Lia. She became one of the first female wrestling promoters after High Chief passed away.

Over the years, many real-life Bloodline members, aka the Anoa’i family, have found their place in the Hall of Fame. The Wild Samoans Afa and Sika were in the Hall of Fame class of 2007, while Rikishi was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. 

She will join the already impressive line-up of Paul Heyman, The Windham Brothers, Muhammad Ali, Bull Nakano, and Thunderbolt Patterson. There is one more legend expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. It will be interesting to see who will headline the Hall of Fame class of 2024.

The Rock once shared an iconic moment of his grandmother Lia Maivia

WWE legend and Hollywood superstar, The Rock had an interesting story to share about his grandmother, Lia Maivia. He shed light on her behavior, lifestyle, and how she was interested in the wrestling business.

The 51-year-old star was a guest on The Late Show with Stephan Colbert. He stated that his grandmother didn’t know that wrestling was choreographed. The Rock said that his grandfather, Peter Maivia, didn’t tell her that it was not real in the early days of his career.

So when my grandfather first started learning how to be a professional wrestler, he never told my grandmother. So as far as she knew, it was real. He brings her to the first match, and she is sitting there, at the start of the match, he starts getting beat up at some point. She freaks out, jumps in the ring, takes her clogs off, and starts beating his a** in the ring.

Maivia always believed that wrestling was real, and it backfired on Peter himself. Once she saw an opponent beating her husband, she came into the ring and started beating his opponent with a wooden clog shoe. Rocky shared that she even had a move called ‘entering the ring without invitation.’ The Anoa’i family will always be one of the greatest families to ever step foot in a wrestling ring.
