WWE went through some major changes behind the camera in recent weeks. One of those changes included the release of multiple WWE superstars. From Mustafa Ali to Dolph Ziggler, it included some prominent names on the roster. These releases shocked the wrestling industry as they came out of nowhere, leaving a lot of fans off-guard.
Among those releases were Mansoor and Mace from Maximum Male Models. Even though they were not in any major WWE storylines, they were still a part of the roster that the fans adored and admired. Following the unfortunate release, Mace took to X to write about his future in a humorous yet heartbreaking way.
Mace posted a hilarious meme of him and Mansoor, with “We may be cringe but we are free from our WWE contracts” written over the picture. He also said that he will finally be able to unfurl his wings and start his very own gaming channel on discord. He asked the WWE Universe to join him on his new journey.
He also mentioned that he still has possession of the “Up Up Down Down” Championship from Xavier Wood’s pop gaming channel. He adamantly said that he would not return. “Also I’m not giving back the UpUpDownDown title. Sorry not sorry,” he wrote. However, it was seemingly just a pun to ease up the ongoing situation.

What’s next for Mace, Mansoor and other released superstars?
Following the billion-dollar merger, WWE released a whole list of superstars from the roster this week. It includes the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Emma, Shelton Benjamin, Rick Boogs, Elias, Mustafa Ali and many more. It’s still unclear what the future holds for these talented superstars.
However, following the end of their 90-day non-compete clause, some of them might go to another promotion and try to make a name for themselves, while others might choose a different path. Superstars like Dolph Ziggler and Shelton Benjamin had a remarkable career in the Stamford-based promotion.
From the looks of it, Mace and Mansoor will possibly stay together and start a gaming channel, as the former mentioned. On the other hand, Mustafa Ali, Emma and others might join AEW to embark on a fresh journey. However, their future seems very uncertain at the moment.
