Raw Day One skyrocketed after the Great One made his return. What seemed like a trolling segment with Jinder Mahal, became the show’s highlight with the return of The Rock. However, it was the ending that made waves. The Legend took a less-than-subtle shot at the Tribal Chief. He finally mentioned his desire to sit at the Head of the Table.
In this series of heated developments, people have expressed concern about the American Nightmare’s WrestleMania Dream. It seems, the Dream will remain alive. Reports suggest that despite The Rock vs Roman Reigns in sight, plans have not changed for WrestleMania 40. This means that Cody Rhodes is still scheduled to face the Tribal Chief in the main event of WrestleMania.
45,000 seats have already been booked for the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia. By the looks of it, The Rock vs Roman Reigns would headline the event outside the USA. It should be noted that Australian authorities did share their desire to have the Brahma Bull on board for the show.
It seems the appeal has been answered and WWE will present a WrestleMania-caliber main event even in Australia. In a way, the Stamford-based company is not only making the cakes but would get a chance to eat them with its hands full.
Overall, the development seems a piece of good news for Rhodes as not only would he get his rematch, but he would be facing a version of Reigns that would be more formidable after possibly defeating one of the Greatest WWE Champions in history. With a lot seeming unclear, time will tell how the Game, Triple H is going to roll the dice and in whose favor.
Major Update around Cody Rhodes’ contract extension complications with WWE
Rumors are something that has been a staple product of WWE programming. The recent one that has surfaced is the American Nightmare reportedly being unhappy after the Rock’s return. It is suggestive of Rhodes eyeing the Great One as a threat to his WrestleMania dreams. In addition, it hints towards Rhodes denying to sign a contract extension with WWE. However, a WWE Insider has denied all these claims.
Rhodes, as reported is happy with WWE. Not only is he making big through his merchandise sales but his bus purchase has also been made irrespective of his status with the Company. While hazy clouds afloat over his current direction, there seem to be no reports of dissatisfaction around his current status with WWE.
Fans are seeing Rhodes in a heated engagement with Shinsuke Nakamura. While the sinister Japanese star is adherent to making Rhodes’ life hell, the American Nightmare is known for his persistence. There remains excitement around how their rivalry will unfold in 2024.
