“I was upset” WWE Hall of Famer reveals Austin Theory cash-in was not at all a good plan
Austin Theory and Mark Henry
Austin Theory, a former United States Champion, is one of the biggest names on the WWE roster right now. He was booked rather well up until September, but since then, things have gotten really ugly for the former Mr. Money in The Bank.
Theory had a losing streak going until he overcame it, but on the most recent episode of Raw, when he cashed in his contract with Seth Rollins for the US Championship, he lost his Money In The Bank. WWE Hall of Famer responded to this action, which has drawn a lot of criticism.
Mark Henry, a former world heavyweight champion and WWE Hall of Famer, responded on Busted Open Radio by saying that although the young star wasn’t ready for a major push, he should have cashed in on the NXT Championship rather than the US championship.
NXT Championship would have made sense and this would have helped him win World Championship in the future maybe. Mark Henry said, “I was not upset about Austin Theory cash-in in the money in the bank briefcase. I was upset at the fact that it wouldn’t the NXT championship because there was more of him to go back to NXT and being the NXT champion which could lead to a springboard to the WWE championship.”
Is Austin Theory maybe going to NXT?
The Austin Theory cash-in for the US Championship has been criticized throughout the entire wrestling industry because it was the wrong decision for the guy since it lowered the credibility of the contract and, more importantly, it lowered Austin’s credibility.
Austin Theory said that the negotiations have been going well and that he is on good terms with the company because he is now in the US title picture with Seth Rollins and that the obstacle is no longer an issue, according to a recent report from Ringside.
It appears that Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Theory will be feuding for the US Championship in the future. This battle will be really intriguing to watch, so let’s wait and see what WWE does with everyone. Bobby Lashley was also engaged in the conclusion.
