WWE is gearing up for November as they will host Crown Jewel and Survivor Series. The company is firing on all cylinders to promote both shows. However, to the surprise of fans, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is promoted for only one of the two shows, i.e., Crown Jewel.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has no plans for Reigns to appear at Survivor Series. Meltzer also reported that the Tribal Chief will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble next year. Reigns does not have any matches scheduled for any title defenses in between any premium live events.
Reigns is not scheduled for Survivor Series, which is notable because it’s considered a big four event. He defends at Crown Jewel and his next scheduled PPV match won’t be until Royal Rumble.Dave Meltzer
This will be the first time in recent years that Roman Reigns might not wrestle at Survivor Series. In 2022, he was a part of the WarGames, where The Bloodline defeated the Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens. Interestingly, this year’s Survivor Series will mark the 11th anniversary of Reigns’ debut as a part of The Shield.
WWE has not made anything official as of yet. However, it was teased a few times that WWE might have a brand supremacy battle at the Survivor Series. This implies that Reigns might have to go one-on-one with Raw’s Seth Rollins in a Champion vs. Champion match. During his historic reign, Seth Rollins was the only singles competitor to have a victory over Reigns.
Roman Reigns to have a contract signing with LA Knight on SmackDown
One of the most anticipated matches for Crown Jewel is Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight. Knight’s remarkable ascent to the top has earned him a championship opportunity against the Tribal Chief. The two squared off on the recent episode of SmackDown, where Knight challenged Reigns for the championship.
In the upcoming episode of SmackDown, LA Knight and Roman Reigns will make their match official. A contract signing, scheduled for the main event of Crown Jewel, where Knight challenged Reigns, asserted that Reigns had never faced anyone like him.
Numerous reports speculate that WWE has long-term plans for Roman Reigns and his championship. Therefore, the chances of LA Knight defeating Roman Reigns at the upcoming premium live event in Saudi Arabia are very low. However, fans can expect a spectacular and dramatic match between the two.
