It appears as though Matt Riddle is going through a rough time in the WWE. After his suspension at the beginning of the year and multiple losses since returning, Riddle showed a shade of frustration with the management of the company in his latest Tweet. For context, before joining WWE, Riddle was a trained MMA fighter and has had several fights in the UFC.

In his recent Tweet, The Ultimate Bro shared a video of his UFC fight from the past, where he knocked out his opponent in less than 10 seconds. The opponent was down instantly, and the result was clearly in favor of Matt Riddle. Therefore, in the caption, he wrote that it was easier in the UFC to win matches as compared to winning matches in the WWE.

Since returning to WWE earlier this year, Riddle has been in random storylines that have felt lackluster. He had joined Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline. Riddle then moved to a storyline with Gunther for the Intercontinental title. However, the feud has been one-sided, as no one believed that Riddle could beat Gunther for the title.

The reason behind that was the constant losses that Riddle took. He failed to connect with the audience, and looking at the title reign that Gunther has had, Riddle did not feel like an actual challenger to his title. Therefore, fans will have to see how events turn out for the former UFC fighter in WWE.

WWE seemingly has no plans for Matt Riddle

Matt Riddle started 2023 on a bad note, as he was suspended for violating the WWE wellness policy. However, he returned to WWE in April on Raw after WrestleMania 39 and attacked The Miz. Since coming back, he has joined hands with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to take on The Bloodline and The Judgment Day in separate feuds. Riddle then moved on to a feud with Gunther in a singles competition.

However, there have been rumors that WWE might have decided to curb Riddle’s push in the company. Due to the constant issues that Riddle has been going through in his personal life, WWE might have made the decision not to push Matt Riddle in the future. This might mean that fans might not see Riddle in the main event feuds anymore.

Matt Riddle has been a part of a large number of controversies in his personal life. During his first divorce, his wife made some allegations against Riddle, which damaged his public image. Additionally, he is also going through some problems with his current girlfriend. Therefore, fans will have to wait and see how Riddle deals with that and makes the most of his time in WWE.
