Matt Riddle will be definitely looking forward to win against Seth Rollins at the Extreme Rules Premium Live event as he had lost at the recent Premium Live event, Clash at the Castle. Given that this is a Fight Pit match and since Matt Riddle competed against Timothy Thatcher in the first Fight Pit match in WWE and prevailed, Matt Riddle has the advantage in this encounter.

Matt Riddle also has the benefit of being a former competitor in the UFC, and the Fighting Pit looks a lot like the UFC arena. Nevertheless, it won’t be easy at all against the best performer of the generation, Seth Rollins.

The match will surely deliver, as Matt and Seth harbor hatred for each other in real life too, and both are just hungry to fight against each other, given that we have seen them brawling every week on RAW. Matt is one of the toughest competitors in WWE and Rollins being one of the best performers, the match is going to be one hell of a match and maybe get a 5-star rating from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Recently, during an interview with Corey Graves on his After the Bell Podcast, Matt Riddle spoke about his personal life and said that it is in shambles. He said that he is going through a rough patch for a couple of years.

“I’ll say this. My personal life is in shambles. I’m not gonna cry on this show, but my personal life is pretty brutal. It’s been a rough year for me, a rough couple of years dude.”

This year, Matt Riddle went through a difficult divorce. The cause of this was Matt’s accusation of sexual assault by independent wrestler Candy Cartwright. Riddle has acknowledged having an affair with Cartwright but has rejected the accusations. Riddle married Lisa Rennie in 2011; the couple has three kids together. They separated formally in March 2022.

In the same interview, Matt Riddle spoke about the current period of his wrestling career. He said that it has been going great and the tag team with Randy Orton was a team when he was at the apex of the tag team division. Riddle stated that he is in the early stages when it comes to his singles career but said that he was close to beating Roman Reigns once. He compared himself to a little engine that runs out of steam when it goes on top of the hill.
