In addition to that, reports reveal that the Stamford-based promotion generated an astonishing amount of merchandise revenue the night he returned.

As per the PWInsider Elite Show, Punk’s merchandise sales were in six figures the night he returned to WWE. Also, he is currently on top in terms of merchandise sales.

CM Punk made an appearance on the latest episode of Raw to finally decide which brand he would sign with. During the promo, Punk went down memory lane and recalled wrestling in the same building in his early days with Mickie James. However, Punk’s in-ring work was met with criticism, and WWE officials sent him back to OVW, the company’s then-developmental show.

James took to Twitter and sent a heartwarming message with a picture of her and Punk walking down the ramp. Moreover, she referred to the Straight Edge Superstar as a ‘brother’. James’ husband, Nick Aldis, is a SmackDown general manager. Ironically, Punk won’t be working under him as he signed the contract with the Red brand.

That's my brother. That's my friend.

Many fans believe that, despite not being in the company, James will make a special appearance at the Royal Rumble. A potential comeback is more possible now that Aldis is working for WWE. Meanwhile, Punk has already set his ultimate goal: to win the Royal Rumble and finally accomplish his dream of headlining WrestleMania.
