MJF has made a name for himself during his professional wrestling career; however, according to a report, the AEW world champion is looking to jump ships following his AEW current expiration next year.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF is arguably the biggest star in AEW currently. Holding the AEW world title, MJF has achieved great success in professional wrestling only at the age of 26. He is immensely talented in the ring, but is known for his incredible talent on the microphone. Maxwell is probably the most over heel in the world along with Roman Reigns of course.

Back in 2015, MJF auditioned for WWE’s Tough Enough, however, things didn’t work out for him. He started his professional wrestling career by signing with AEW in 2019. Maxwell has been enjoying his run in the company up until now. However, he was reportedly not happy with Tony Khan last year as he mentioned on live TV during his infamous pipe-bomb.

Ever since then, MJF has constantly teased signing with the WWE after his contract with AEW runs out next year. Fightful Select recently reported that MJF approached a WWE talent. The talent revealed Maxwell said, “I’m looking forward to being there in 2024.” Report also suggested that Maxwell reached out to other unknown WWE talents as well.

It’s no secret that WWE also wants him to be a part of their roster, as MJF has been mentioning the “bidding war of 2024.” The report also makes sense as his AEW contract is set to expire at the end of this year. However, Tony Khan usually keeps wrestler’s contract status a secret. That being said, MJF might have renewed his contract and this whole bidding war thing could be the part of a storyline. Fans must stay tuned with all the reports for an update regarding this news.

Potential dream feuds for MJF if he joins WWE

MJF has the ability to make any feud work by generating necessary heat towards him. Considering his immense talent as a heel, Maxwell would be a perfect fit for the current WWE product. The current WWE era has been lately defined by heel Superstars and factions.

With MJF possibly making his WWE debut soon, there are superstars lined up who would love to share a promo segment with him. The first name that comes to mind is The Miz. Maxwell has been compared to The Miz several times in the past as both of them have similar characters. A confrontation between them would be a treat to watch.

Other name that pops up in mind is his former AEW rival Cody Rhodes. More names include Roman Reigns, Edge, John Cena and others. It would be interesting to see if fans ever get to see MJF in the WWE.
