“There are people high on Montez Ford right now, especially with his new physique” – WWE analyst reveals plans for America’s next singles wrestling superstar
Montez Ford net worth is estimated to e $1.5 million
The past Saturday, the WWE Universe probably saw the best match that The Street Profits had to offer so far. They challenged the Usos for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team belts. In the process, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins showed their skills on a whole different level.
Ford was a stand-out among the four. His stunning sets of moves comprised some stunning aerial strikes. He didn’t hesitate to leap over the ropes and posts. The 32-year-old American bravely assaulted both the Usos brothers. At a time, it was been anticipated that Montez would single-handedly defeat The Street Profits’ opponents.
But unsurprisingly enough, The Usos defended their crowns in a match full of lethal blows. Although Montez Ford was pinned during the fight, the ending of the contest raised a lot of eyebrows because his shoulders weren’t down during the pin.
What’s waiting for Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins?
As the week came to an end, the WWE Universe started speculating about the ultimate fate of The Street Profits. It is said that this might be the start of the end of this tag-team partnership, as the WWE is looking forward to projecting Montez as a singles wrestling star.
Recent rumors have suggested that WWE may be thinking about separating the two. In addition to being a superb athlete, Montez has shown the personality necessary to become a breakout sensation on his own mettle.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Mr. Dave Meltzer, WWE employees are interested to promote Montez Ford as a singles star. The following is what Meltzer had to say:
“I know there are people who want to push Montez Ford as a singles star. I could see them doing something with Ford as a single. There are people high on him right now, especially with his new physique.”
End of partnership looming for The Street Profits?
The comment from the veteran analyst fuelled the previous speculations that The Street Profits might move on and split. During last Friday’s SmackDown, Ford was asked on TV about the possibility of him and his homie splitting up anytime in the future. On that occasion, Ford suggested that he and his tag-team partner would accept if something like happens.
Montez Ford said, “If the draft happens and they, you know, we’re forced to go our separate ways, we’re definitely going to keep that support there. Keep bringing it 100 percent. I know as a kid, speaking for myself, I’ve always had dreams of being a WWE World Champion.”
So, have we seen the end of Ford as a doubles specialist? What are your thoughts on Montez Ford becoming a singles wrestler? Will he be more successful?
