MVP has been appearing on WWE Television as the manager of the 7-foot giant Omos. However, recently there have been subtle hints of a possible Hurt Business reunion by the former WWE tag team champion. The faction was a success for the brief time it was active, as it held the WWE championship as well as the Raw tag team championships at the same time.

MVP recently posted a video on Twitter of his son training with the former Hurt Business member Shelton Benjamin. In that video, the fans can see MVP’s eight-year-old son punch Benjamin and do a backflip to pin the three-time tag team champion. The proud father shared the video with the caption, “THE KID’S GOT IT!!!! The 8 year old little Dude takes on Shelton Benjamin at #layinthelawdown and he did a fine job!!! Thanks to #jerryfnrivvers for the ring time! I think the kid has a future!!!”

The Hurt Business was formed in July 2020, when Shelton Benjamin joined the alliance of MVP and Bobby Lashley. This was followed by Cedric Alexander joining the group a couple of months later. The faction was disbanded just half a year later by Lashley before his WrestleMania 37 match against Drew McIntyre. Although it did return for a brief period in the latter half of 2021, it was another short-lived run for the group, and the fans were left disheartened once again. With MVP and Shelton Benjamin reconciling, fans are anticipating a Hurt Business reunion.

Bobby Lashley returned to WWE in 2018 after being a successful star on the independent circuit and in TNA. On his return, he wasn’t a featured star in the main event, but he worked his way up, winning the Intercontinental and United States Championships in the process. In May 2020, Lashley aligned himself with MVP as he challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Backlash. Though he remained unsuccessful in his pursuit, the duo would go on to form the Hurt business with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander

Lashley’s pursuit for the championship came to fruition on the march 1st edition of Monday Night Raw, where he defeated The Miz to win the WWE title for the first time. He held the title for six months, losing it when Big E successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase in September.

Lashley was consistently involved in the US title program on the road to WrestleMania 38. Even after defeating Omos at the grandest stage, MVP would turn on the champ, aligning himself with the Nigerian Giant. Recently, Lashley has adopted an unhinged persona, attacking WWE officials and getting disqualified in matches. There are also subtle hints dropped on Raw that MVP might be seeking to reunite the Hurt Business once again.
