Nick Aldis must be on cloud nine at the moment. His brand is doing exceptionally well, and the inflow of numerous upstars has made it even better. Having said that, one man who has captured the imagination of the WWE Universe is Dragon Lee. This past Friday, he went to war against one of the NXT high-flyers, Axiom. Fans had high expectations, and the two luchadors didn’t disappoint.
After roping in an impressive victory yet again, Dragon Lee took to X and tagged Nick Aldis, asking the WWE official what’s next for him on the Blue brand. In response, the general manager urged Lee to keep working the way he’s been doing, and nothing could stop him. Ever since his promotion to SmackDown, Lee hasn’t lost a step. It appears as if he has upped his game.

Though it’s obvious, if Lee keeps delivering such awe-inspiring displays every week, Nick Aldis would need to line up more competition for the 28-year-old. Since assuming his duties as the SmackDown GM, Nick has been a focal point. Touted as one of the best signings WWE has made in the past, fans have found the former NWA Champion’s presence to be a breath of fresh air on WWE programming.
One should not be shocked if Aldis gets involved in some sort of altercation with Dragon Lee in the immediate future. And guess what? WWE seems to be successful in its attempt to make Dragon Lee popular among fans. He’s starting to get the crowds by his side, and that’s a huge positive for the luchador.
Nick Aldis temporarily suspended Kevin Owens last week on SmackDown
Last week, Nick Aldis had a busy outing. Before the show even started, he allowed Kevin Owens to fill in Corey Graves‘ void on commentary. However, Nick did warn Owens not to get physical during his sojourn alongside Michael Cole and Kevin Patrick to avoid any repercussions.

But things don’t work like that in WWE. A late charge from Austin Theory and Grayson Waller incited The Prizefighter, and he went after the A-Town Down Under. As a result, Nick Aldis had to keep his word and suspend Kevin Owens indefinitely.
It’s not known until when the former Universal Champion is going to stay off SmackDown. However, one thing’s for sure: when Owens returns, he will want to kick the teeth out of both Theory and Waller’s mouths. It’s all up to Nick Aldis as to when he feels the need to call Owens back. It could be as early as the SmackDown after Survivor Series.
