NSFW reason behind WWE repeatedly blacking out The Rock’s segment on SmackDown

This week on SmackDown, The Rock‘s in-ring promo segment with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline touched the 40-minute mark. It significantly went overtime, but there’s one thing that piqued the live viewers the most. Those watching on FOX experienced erratic screen blackouts when The Great One was disparaging the city of Arizona. Initially, some fans perceived it as a glitch; however, it was not.

As per PWInsider, a fan in attendance sported a NSFW signboard stating “Die Rocky Die.” And that’s why the network decided to censor it. Apart from that, the opening segment had its audio muted at times the crowd chanted “holy sh*t.” All these factors contributed to fans being incensed by the FOX network’s stringent guidelines. Despite the fuss, The Rock made sure that the sold-out house in Glendale detested his actions.

Calling Arizona a leading city for cocaine and meth consumption was one of the insults the Hollywood actor dished out last night. However, the 51-year-old garnered a positive reaction even after calling the Desert Diamond Arena a crack den with popcorn. Deep into his promo, The Brahma Bull addressed Cody Rhodes’ challenge for a one-on-one match but declined.

Instead, he proposed a tag team match with The Rock joining forces with Roman Reigns to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night 1 of WrestleMania XL. But the offer wasn’t as lucrative as it initially appeared.

Rock said that if the babyfaces win, Cody Rhodes will take on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship without any member of The Bloodline playing spoilsport. However, if Seth and Cody lose, the latter’s title match in Philadelphia will be in adherence to the Samoan stalwarts.

Is The Rock slowly planting seeds to betray Roman Reigns?

Once again, the fans have spotted a conspiracy that is being orchestrated by The Rock. During the closing stretch of his segment on SmackDown, he was cut by Roman Reigns. The latter asked his cousin to acknowledge him. Rock did exactly the same, and they both hugged it out.

However, when the entire Bloodline had their ones up in the sky, the Black Adam star once again put up an “L sign.” It happened a couple of weeks ago as well. This time around, Paul Heyman was caught surveying The Rock’s distorted version of The Bloodline’s victory pose.

It has led the fans to firmly believe that the wrestler-turned-actor is indeed playing a double agent in this entire plot. It could lead to the descension of Roman Reigns down the line.
