Pat McAfee is a former footballer and an analyst who is currently working with the WWE as a commentator and as a wrestler in some capacity. Pat McAfee has impressed one and all with his amazing mic skills with his most recent promo on Happy Corbin garnering appreciation from the ‘People’s Champion’ The Rock. Pat McAfee started appearing on WWE tapings as a pre show analyst during the NXT events which is WWE’s developmental territory. After appearing on multiple programs and working as color commentator on NXT McAfee became a regular on WWE TV.

Pat McAfee then started a feud with Adam Cole and went on to cut promo on Cole which garnered him praise from fans and from the former WWE superstars and critics as well. Shortly after we got to see McAfee wrestle in ring as he wrestled against the likes of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. The former footballer showed his in ring talent while performing a  senton and later take a Panama sunrise at the hands of Cole. Pat McAfee was also a part of the NXT : Wargames and hit a Swanton bomb of top of the cage but ended up on the losing team.

McAfee then moved to Smackdown to resume his role as color commentator along side Michael Cole. Every now and then McAfee has found himself in the ring during his time on Smackdown as well. In 2022 while appearing on his show Vince McMahon offered McAfee a match at wrestlemania which he gladly accepted, later it was revealed that Theory would represent McMahon at wrestlemania.

Pat McAfee would continue feuding with Theory in the weeks leading to Wrestlemania. At the grandest stage of them all McAfee in an impressive showing defeated Theory to mark his wrestlemania debut. He later lost McMahon after constant interference from Theory. Pat McAfee later also took a stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin.

McAfee was heavily involved in the recent feud between Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin taunting Corbin on weekly basis. After Corbin lost the last laugh match against Moss, McAfee proceeded to publicly embarrass Corbin as everyone laughed him out of the arena. The following week Pat McAfee cut a savage promo calling Corbin as ‘Bum Ass Corbin’ and challenging him to a match at summerslam.

After MITB went off air and Pat McAfee was about to leave he was attacked by Happy Corbin who went to give ‘End of Days’ outside the ring. Following the attack Pat was seen sporting a Neck Brace at UFC 276. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, the host shared in happiness about facing Corbin at Summerslam:

“With that being said, Happy Corbin, Bum Ass Corbin, did accept my SummerSlam challenge, so it is on. Once this neck heals, I’m gonna go in and beat that guy’s ass. This foot right here is gonna end up, up the ass of Bum Ass Corbin!”

Pat McAfee has impressed everyone with his impressive mic skills and some of his in ring work as well, it will be interesting to see how the former football team mates will fare against each other inside a WWE ring.
