Paul Heyman addressed the present state of The Bloodline on this week’s SmackDown. He caught up with Kayla Braxton for a backstage interview. It’s rare when a Bloodline-related segment doesn’t happen in the middle of that ring. Moreover, no other member of The Bloodline was present at the arena. Nonetheless, Paul received authority from his Tribal Chief to nullify the rampant speculations about the faction’s imminent end.
As usual, Kayla asked Heyman about the rumors surrounding The Bloodline’s next move. Being fed up with those questions, Heyman tried to delve into Kayla’s past too. He asked Braxton about her father, who allegedly left her mother when Kayla wasn’t even born. Just as the Wise Man was taking control of the situation, a random call freaked him out. He answered it and tried to avoid the microphone.
However, his alleged girlfriend left no stone unturned while covering his words. After Paul was done, he revealed that Jimmy Uso would return to SmackDown next week. The anonymous person asked him to do so. But, when asked by Kayla Braxton about his so-called “source,” Heyman said he wouldn’t dare to reveal it. After the segment ended, fans started wondering who it could possibly be.
After a while, some jumped to the conclusion that Heyman’s source was none other than Rikishi. As is known, the Samoan legend has been long rumored to get involved with The Bloodline. That said, it would make perfect sense if the father of The Usos actually played a significant role in restoring peace within his kids. However, Rikishi being the one who called Paul Heyman on SmackDown is completely a fan-made theory.
What can Paul Heyman bring out of Jimmy Uso?
For now, The Bloodline’s tale is on a tad of a breather. With Roman Reigns and Jey Uso sidelined indefinitely, only Solo Sikoa and the soon-to-be-returning Jimmy Uso would carry the story forward alongside Paul Heyman. It’s conspicuous that WWE is planning to have a Brother vs. Brother showdown between The Usos somewhere down the road. And apparently, the company is likely contemplating stretching it to WrestleMania 40.
Till then, WWE can run a program between Jimmy and his younger brother, Solo. It would be interesting to see whether the creative can find more ways to keep The Bloodline saga fresh or if it will eventually erode. Roman Reigns and his cousins have been ruling the wrestling industry for the last three years. And to their credit, it has become one of WWE’s biggest success stories.
