The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ special counsel, Paul Heyman, is one of the biggest political personalities in WWE. The superstars hope to have him in their corner and feel the extraordinary power of his sheer presence. His association uplifts the star, with him taking over the mic control and speaking with intellect. Heyman’s past clients have all been top stars since they got aligned with him.

On a recent episode of Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin, Heyman spoke about a list of superstars that he had wished to manage in 2020. His previous client, Brock Lesnar, was away from WWE programming for months, and the company needed Paul to get aligned with a top star. So, Vince McMahon decided to pair Heyman with returning star Roman Reigns while beginning his heel persona.

The list noted by Paul Heyman obviously had the Tribal Chief in it but also had a mention of Ronda Rousey. The Rowdy One was one of the top stars in the women’s division. Hence he was interested in advocating for her. The Wise Man stated that he wanted a superstar who was “main event ready.” There’s no doubt that an alignment with Heyman would lead to a superstar’s ultimate success.

The 57-year-old advocate for Roman Reigns came as a great shock to the fans when they saw them together for the first time. With Paul by his side, Reigns has achieved much success. The Tribal Chief has recently surpassed 1000 days of his Universal Championship reign alongside The Wise Man.

The Wise Man Paul Heyman has been serving as special counsel for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. Since his alignment with The Tribal Chief, Reigns has been massively successful and has dominated the entire WWE roster. With Roman being so powerful, his iconic catchphrase states that everyone should acknowledge him.

The story behind this was shared by Paul Heyman during a recent podcast. The 57-year-old stated the origin of this phrase came when Reigns was feuding with his cousin, Jey Uso. The Tribal Chief had a promo segment on SmackDown where he said that he doesn’t want Jey’s love, admiration, or obedience. Reigns said,“I am The Tribal Chief. I need him to acknowledge me.”

Paul Heyman got chills when he first heard it from Roman Reigns. They then decided to make it his declarative statement and make a bigger moment out of it. He stated the connection between Reigns’ character and the catchphrase. Heyman wanted to portray it as The Head of the Table seeks sheer acknowledgment.
