It’s that time of the year once again. In just about 30 days from now, WWE will present their annual Money in the Bank premium-live-event. Being dubbed as one of the most anticipated concepts in history, two members from the current roster can redefine their destiny in London. That being said, there’s a little extra effort the company has been putting in for their latest MITB edition. Obviously, that’s due to the fact that it’s the first time this event will emanate from the United Kingdom.

Just a month away from a career-altering night, a spoiler has emerged regarding the respective ladder match winners. According to Boozer Rasslin on Twitter, they revealed that LA Knight and IYO SKY are currently leading the march. While the self-proclaimed megastar is running consistent as the top male candidate for quite a while now, IYO SKY’s chances are too looking bright as being the one to retrieve that briefcase.

In recent weeks, the rising popularity of LA Knight has undergone a sharp hike. Even during his absence at the Night of Champions media event, the crowd in Jeddah chanted his name. That pretty much tells how over he’s already gotten among the main-roster audience of WWE. On the other hand, IYO SKY is slowly teasing a babyface turn. After a NXT: Takeover level match against Bianca Belair at Backlash, the Genius of the Sky is giving those vibes from her character during NXT days.

While things can certainly change given that Vince McMahon is always suggesting some, Knight and SKY are the current frontrunners. Interestingly, both names are yet to qualify for their respective ladder matches. Tomorrow night on SmackDown, the former Eli Drake faces Montez Ford in a MITB qualifier. However, WWE is yet to announce such a match for IYO SKY.

Who were the last year winners of Money in the Bank ladder matches?

When Vince McMahon was still the leading aspect in WWE creative last year, he ensured to push his newbie. As known, the 77-year-old pledged to transform Austin Theory into their next John Cena. As a result, the 25-year-old weaseled his way to the top in no time. Being the last-minute addition in the Men’s Ladder match, he eventually grabbed that briefcase.

The WWE Universe scratched their heads over this decision as they believed him as a Parvenu. Even though Theory won when McMahon was in-charge of things, his cash-in came under Triple H. For what it’s worth, Hunter was forced to make Theory cash-in on the US Title, instead of bothering Roman Reigns‘ invincible title run. For women, Liv Morgan was the winner and she executed a successful cash-in on Ronda Rousey the same night. Following that, she became the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
